ASTR 1110L - Astronomy Lab Laboratory portion of Astronomy 1114 - This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of modern astronomy. It introduces the constellations, planets and basic astronomical theories. The course demonstrates how Galileo, Newton and Einstein used astronomy to lead in the development of modern science. Catastrophic consequences of astronomical events upon civilization will be addressed as well as responses by leaders.
