BIOL 1224 - Principles of Biology II The second of two consecutive college biology courses designed for science majors. Principles II includes a survey of the animal kingdom, invertebrate and vertebrate, animal structure and function including organs and organ systems. The course concludes with discussions of taxonomy, diversity and ecological principles with emphasis on population and community ecology.
Credit Hours 4.0 Satisfies a Requirement Laboratory Science Designation Abbreviation (3-2L) When Offered Spring Note Credit from both classes will satisfy one lab science sequence for the AS degree. Recommended for science majors. Student may not get credit for both BIOL 1214/1224 and BIOL 1154. Prerequisite BIOL 1214
