MTH 034 - Algebra 2B Continues with the algebra skills necessary to do advanced mathematics. Advanced factoring in order to solve and simplify polynomial equations and expressions. Solve and graph equations and/or inequalities of several types including radical, trigonometric, logarithmic, rational, and exponential. Extends to the unit circle and radian measure along with the Law of Sines, the Law of Cosines, and using the Sum, Difference, Double-Angle, and Half-Angle Identities. Work with and identify conic sections. The function concept is continually discussed.
Prerequisite: MTH 033
Credit Hours .50 Satisfies a Requirement Math/Math Residency When Offered Fall Note NMMI graduates must successfully pass one year of NMMI mathematics at the Algebra 2 level or above. Prerequisite MTH 033
