ECON 2113 - Principles and Problems of Macroeconomics


The course studies the economic system governing the productive apparatus; while identifying underlying social and economic goals, exploring opportunity costs, comparative and absolute advantage, laws of supply and demand, aggregate supply and aggregate demand, measuring the determining national income, employment and inflation; and introducing fiscal and monetary policy analysis through critical analysis and problem solving practices.  Students will recognize the role of critical thinking, leadership and ethics in making effective business decisions. Business concentration requirement. (Area IV meets social/behavioral science requirement NM Gen Ed. NMCCN ECON 2113).
