ENGL 1033 - Writing Workshop This general education English course is intended to establish collegiate level writing skills through the exploration of rhetorical models—narrative, descriptive, comparative, illustrative, definitive and causal. Students will use the writing process in a workshop setting to improve writing, reading, thinking, and research skills.
Students must earn at least a “C” in this course to be eligible to take ENGL 1113.
Credit Hours 3.0 Note Students must earn a “C” in this course to move on, or they will repeat the course. Prerequisite Minimum grade of C in ENGL 0993 or ACT minimum score (English) of 14 or SAT critical reading score of 370. (SATR scores of 370-450, ACT scores of 13 or less take compass placement for evaluation and placement.)
